Public Vocational High School (SMKN) 5 Bone, South Sulawesi, once again received agricultural equipment assistance in the form of SPW-48C (Rice Transplanter) planting machine from PT Kubota Machinery Indonesia. In September 2022, the school, located in Kadai Village, Mare Subdistrict, Bone Regency, received one unit of L4018 tractor with KRX175 rotary implement from PT Kubota Machinery Indonesia.

During the handover ceremony, the Head of UPT SMKN 5 Bone, Andi Budiharsono, S.Pd, M.Pd, thanked PT Kubota and the government for their attention, contribution, and concern in the development of students. He emphasized that the school he leads aims to produce modern and innovative millennial farmers in the future.

“SMKN 5 Bone has synergized with the industrial world, one of which is PT Kubota, which has provided various assistance. We from the school hope that attention and assistance in the future can continue for the development of students,” said Andi Budiharsono in his speech.

President Director of PT Kubota Machinery Indonesia, Mr. Itaru Kamiya, expressed his happiness to be back at the school for the second time. I am very proud to hear that SMKN 5 Bone students have been utilizing the L4018 tractor for learning since last year. Hopefully, with the help of this planting machine, SMKN 5 Bone students can better understand the cycle of agricultural mechanization, from planting to harvesting,” Mr. Itaru hoped.

Drs. Andi Syamsul Alam, M.Pd, Head of South Sulawesi Education Agency Region III, was proud of SMKN 5 Bone for receiving agricultural equipment from PT Kubota. He emphasized that this assistance does not only belong to the school, but also to Mare Sub-district and Bone Regency in general.

“On various occasions, I always emphasize that schools should highlight their uniqueness, and SMK 5 is a role model school in South Bone. With this assistance, as the head of the education office branch and on behalf of the South Sulawesi Provincial Government, we thank you,” he said.

In his speech, the Mare sub-district secretary, Zaenal Abidin, encouraged schools and education to always work together and collaborate with the government and all related parties, emphasizing the importance of not going it alone.

“Thank you to PT Kubota for their concern and attention to this school. With this assistance, it is hoped that it can be a motivation for students and residents of SMKN 5 Bone to continue to provide the best,” he said.

On the occasion, the President Director of PT Kubota Machinery Indonesia, Mr. Itaru Kamiya, directly handed over the SPW48-C planting machine to the Head of UPT SMKN 5 Bone, Andi Budiharsono, S.Pd, M.Pd.
