On the way to a decade of PT Kubota Machinery Indonesia, SMK Negeri 5 Bone, South Sulawesi received one unit of assistance L4018 tractor and KRX175 implement. This tractor assistance is part of the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR).

SMK 5 Bone, which received this assistance, is a vocational school where one of its majors is an expertise program in agriculture, or agribusiness of food crops and horticulture (ATPH). The assistance of agricultural machinery (Alsintan) was handed over directly by the President of PT Kubota Machinery Indonesia Itaru Kamiya. Also present were the Head of Bone Region III Drs H Husain MPd, the Head of Bone TPHP Office Abdul Rauf, the sub-district tripika and the Head of Bone Education Board Drs A Amin Mengungsara.

A. Rahmat Taufik, SPd, MM, who previously served as Acting Head of SMKN 5 Bone, reported that SMK Negeri 5 Bone was built in Mare Sub-district in 2011 and began operating in 2012 and during has been led by 5 principals.

“In its journey, SMK Negeri 5 Bone continues to progress in terms of facilities and infrastructure as well as the number of students. Alhamdulillah this year received the trust of PT Kubota in the context of developing agricultural expertise programs in the form of 1 unit of tractor assistance. This assistance is incredibly valuable will be a motivation for the school to continue to develop students’ potential and human resources,” he said, as quoted from PonggawaNews (3/10/2022).

Drs H Husain MPd, Head of the Bone Region III Education Office Branch, thanked PT Kubota for the assistance provided. The assistance of 1 unit of tractor distributed to SMKN 5 Bone is in line with the vision and mission of the Director General of Vocational Education of the Ministry of Education towards vocational schools.

“For this assistance, it will certainly make a big contribution in order to realize millennial farmers at SMKN 5 Bone,” he said.

Meanwhile, President of PT Kubota Machinery Indonesia Itaru Kamiya said today he was present to provide assistance to one unit of Kubota L4018 tractor and Implement KRX175. “This assistance is a company CSR program to commemorate 10 years of Kubota Machinery Indonesia. We hope that this assistance can be utilized well by the students and the surrounding community,” he said.

This assistance is a form of Kubota’s commitment to contribute to sustainable community development. “It is important for students as the next generation to have access to new machinery and technology in order to improve their yields and livelihoods. Bone is a strategic agricultural commodity area and we want our next generation to be passionate about developing Indonesian agriculture for the better,” he added.

This CSR program does not stop at providing KUBOTA tractor units. Furthermore, there will be a mechanic training session presented by the mechanics of PT Kubota Machinery Indonesia, as well as an antenna farmer program with students of SMKN 5 Bone.
