On May 18, 2023, a delegation from PT Bina Pertiwi, one of the authorized dealers of PT Kubota Machinery Indonesia, visited KUBOTA Headquarters in Osaka and KUBOTA Factory in Sakai, Japan.

PT Bina Pertiwi is part of one of the largest companies in Indonesia, Astra International. Not only do they sell Kubota agricultural machinery, they also have businesses related to heavy machinery from Japanese companies. This is the first visit of Bina Pertiwi’s management team to Kubota in Japan after the COVID-19 pandemic.

PT Kubota Machinery Indonesia was established in 2012 and is engaged in selling agricultural machinery in Indonesia. However, KUBOTA has been selling specialized tractors for the plantation market since before through PT Bina Pertiwi.

Currently as one of the authorized dealers of PT Kubota Machinery Indonesia, PT Bina Pertiwi sells a range of agricultural machinery including combine harvesters, not only to the plantation market but also to the general farmer market.

During the visit to Kubota Headquarters, Mr. Ishii, General Manager, and Mr. Minami, Deputy General Manager from ASEAN Headquarters were present. In addition, they also held meetings with the Tractor International Sales and Marketing Department 2, the Harvesting and Planter Machinery Sales Department, the Parts Sales and Marketing Department 1, and the Agricultural Machinery Overseas Service Department to discuss the current issues faced and how to deal with them.

After the meeting, PT Bina Pertiwi visited the Sakai Factory and deepened their understanding of Kubota manufacturing. Since the Sakai factory produces some tractors that are not yet sold in Indonesia, such as the cabin type, etc., the visit became something fascinating and different for PT Bina Pertiwi.

Through this visit, PT Bina Pertiwi executives deepened their knowledge of Kubota to contribute to the development of Indonesian agriculture as “One Kubota”.
