PT Kubota Machinery Indonesia is participating in Agrifest 2024, strengthening its commitment to support national food security through innovation in the agricultural sector. Agrifest 2024, which runs from September 5 to 7, 2024, is an important event to bring together various parties such as the government, industry players, farmers, MSMEs, academics, and the general public in a joint effort to face the challenges of climate change and increase agricultural productivity.

PIAT UGM as the organizer of this event realizes the importance of cross-disciplinary collaboration and multi-stakeholder partnerships to achieve the nation’s food security goals. With a focus on technological innovation and efficiency in the agricultural sector, PT Kubota Machinery Indonesia shows its active role in supporting farmers to increase agricultural production through modern technology.

The opening ceremony on September 5 was chaired by Prof. Dr. Wening Udasmoro, S.S., M.Hum., D.A., Vice Rector for Education and Teaching of Universitas Gadjah Mada. In her speech, she expressed her appreciation to PIAT UGM for providing a platform for UGM research and innovation to be displayed to the public. “Thank you to PIAT UGM, which has managed researches such as Gamagora and other researches. Hopefully, UGM research results can provide real benefits to the people of Indonesia,” he said. He also emphasized the need for support from various parties, including the Ministry of Agriculture, to achieve national food sovereignty.

PT Kubota Machinery Indonesia’s participation in Agrifest was also appreciated by Zainul Azmi, S.P., M.Ec., M.SE., Ph.D., Coordinator of Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting from the Ministry of Agriculture. In his speech, Zainul emphasized the importance of increasing agricultural productivity to achieve significant economic growth in the future. “We really appreciate the Agrifest theme that focuses on the utilization of technology in national food security. The key is sustainable productivity,” he said.

During the event, invited guests were invited to visit demonstration plots of various crops, including innovations from PT Kubota Machinery Indonesia that showcased the latest agricultural technology. PT Kubota Machinery Indonesia plays a role in promoting the use of modern agricultural machinery that can increase agricultural efficiency and yield. The visit to the demonstration plot also featured a variety of plants such as spinach, kale, corn, cucumber, watermelon, and melon, the result of collaboration with industry partners.
